I recently had the opportunity to interview the amazing, Jeremy Bilding, fresh off of his trip to San Antonio, Texas. Jeremy is an amazingly talented and hard working star. 2009 has been an exciting year for him with more excitement and success to come. This Colorado native has take West Hollywood and the porn world by storm. Despite his rapid rise to the top, achieving the coveted status of Channel 1 Exclusive, Jeremy is a very humble guy who is grateful to his fans a supporters for helping him achieve his success.

MATT: Hi Jeremy, how ya doin’?

JEREMY: Good. Still making my way home from San Antonio.

MATT: So, how was the Alamo?

JEREMY: It was good. Surprisingly comfortable. I woke and was like, I shouldn’t be here, I should probably find my hotel room.

MATT: Wait, you woke up at the Alamo?

JEREMY: Yeah, well I wondered around for some food and couldn’t find my hotel again and as I was stumbling around I found the Alamo, so I kind of ended up sneaking into the place, so I napped there for a couple of hours last night.

MATT: Oh wow.

JEREMY: I had a little fun with it.

MATT: I wanted to ask you, how did you get your start in the porn business? Being from Denver, Colorado, that’s not the first place you would think of a porn star coming from.

JEREMY: Well, surprisingly there’s a lot of us from there. I know Nash Lawler and others came from out there. I’ve actually always wanted to. It’s always been on my mind that I wanted to go into porn. From 2001 to 2008 I worked for the Boy Scouts and actually for a while ran a camp down in Key West, and when I left there I was like, alright, I need to change everything up and figure out what I want to do. I had a few hookups that were like, “You should be in porn.” So I was like, alright, I’ve always wanted to. I’m having random people telling me I should do it. I started looking up stuff online and responded to a Craigslist ad for a talent scout and he put me in contact with Jake Cruise and Next Door Studios. I started filming with them and everything from there kind of exploded.

MATT: You started in, what, September of last year?

JEREMY: My first scenes were shot March of last year, March of ‘08. My first scenes were for Next Door Studios. I shot Monday through Friday with them and then on Monday and Tuesday of the next week I shot with Jake Cruise in Los Angeles. I know a lot of things didn’t get released until the summer. They slowly leaked them out, but it September of last year that I moved to Los Angeles. Right at the beginning of October I got sick and holed myself up in my apartment, but as soon as I was feeling well I responded to an ad from Chi Chi LaRue. Like at 11:00 in the morning I was responding to the ad and at 1:00 I was emailing them again filling out more questions. At 3:00 I was on the phone with Chi Chi and Doug Jeffries, and at 5:00 I was actually in the studios signing paperwork to do Live and Raw and was cast for Fucking Around. Actually, while on set of Fucking Around I got cast as a sub for Blake Riley Moves In. So the DVD production side happened faster than I ever thought it would have happened.

MATT: That really is some fast work, and now you’re a Channel 1 Excusive.

JEREMY: Well, I’m going to have a dual thing. I’m with Jake Cruise as well. I’m not officially an exclusive with Jake, but under my contract with Chi Chi… because I have the Jake Cruise crash pad, a two bedroom apartment that Jake rents out the other bedroom for his models when they come into town, so when I went to work with Chi Chi I said, you know, I would feel really bad having to turn down work with Jake when he’s paying half of my rent, and one, he taught me a lot about the industry and two, I do work with him on off camera, so I think it would be awkward. So she said, “Fine, as long as I’m working with Jake and you use a condom, we’re happy with that.”

MATT: Now you have done some bareback. What are your feelings about bareback?

JEREMY: You know, the way I feel is that doing it with Jake Cruise it’s so much more controlled than any of us just going to the bar at night. And the way I feel about it is I think that everyone in their life has had natural sex without a condom or anything, whether intentional or unintentional, they’ve done it; and at least my going through it with Jake, which was a very controlled environment where we were tested as close to the shoot date as possible with little to no outside contact until our scene was done just to control the test and get the most accurate representation on set. I can get behind that. We’re looking at each others’ tests and on the VD website. It’s not like I brought him a piece of paper that anyone can make up anywhere. When you’re logging into the AIM (Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation) website and looking at someone else’s test results I was a little more comfortable with it. With everything picking  up it was getting to the point where it was like, alright, it would better that I’m promoting this healthy, happy sexual lifestyle and start using condoms. It was right around the same time that I signed with Chi Chi that I approached Jake ans said I would rather work with condoms in a scene now, which he’s fine with. I can’t deny that I’ve never had natural sex and I have a firm belief that that anyone I’ve ever met can say the same thing. We’ve all done it at some point.

MATT: I think that’s a good attitude to have towards it.  People are going to make their own choices in their personal lives.

JEREMY: Yeah, I definitely think that if you’re going to do it at least ask your partner. Be very open and honest about your lifestyle and what you’re getting into. I don’t agree with the spread of any sort of diseases, but I think having that conscious attitude towards it is going to be a safer movement for everybody. Not like, oh, I’m wearing a rubber, that’s going to help. The only, ONLY safe sex you can actually have is no sex.

MATT: That’s well put. Now let’s go back to what you were saying earlier. You used to worked with the Boy Scouts and ran a camp. You really have a charitable side. I think I read where you that you said that if you were not doing porn that you would still be doing that type of work.

JEREMY: Absolutely. I’m actually pursuing a degree right now in biology to orient towards camp settings with either the Boy Scouts, YMCA or whoever. I usually work with the older kids, high school age kids. Or I would be teaching high school biology. That work I find incredibly rewarding. That’s the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. Everything I’ve ever done I’ve enjoyed or I automatically quit, like a sales job I had. It was like, alright, I can attempt sales but I can’t do it and be happy about it. But that camp kind of fell into my lap. I was in between lives, so to say, and trying to figure out everything. I was 18 years old and had been a participant at the camp and my counselor and my Boy Scout troop wanted me to go back down and work there; they all suggested it. They were like, “That’s the happiest we’re seen you in a long time.” So I went back down there one summer and thought it would be the summer of a lifetime and be a one time experience and I ended up going back the following year and the following year, then I moved down there for a couple of years. Then I was going back and forth while I was pursuing school. Actually I was pursuing communications at that time, but I kept going back. And I finally realized last summer, 2008, that the happiest that I am is not when I’m making money hand-over-fist, it’s when I’m working with these kids and teaching people, removing them from their element and broadening their horizons in one way or another and watching them push themselves to do something, to learn something, to try something, enjoy what’s at hand.

MATT: That’s amazing. What rank did you reach in Boy Scouts?

JEREMY: I reached Life. I was one Merritt Badge short of my Eagle.

MATT: Oh my God, it’s the same for me. I was exactly one Merritt Badge short. I even had my Eagle project planned out and approved and everything.

JEREMY: Oh yeah, I did it all. As a matter of fact, the camp I was at, when I was down there as a participant, my counselors and everybody found out and they were trying to find a Personal Management book for me so I could work on it while I was at the camp even though they were not a Merritt Badge camp. Our conservation project was my Eagle project. They kind of oriented it and pushed to try to get me to get Eagle the last week I could. That’s even more inspiring that they went out of their way and did everything they could. I was like, yeah, I can get on board with this camp. But the only one I didn’t get was my Personal Management Merritt Badge… semi-ironic, but that’s the one.

MATT: I didn’t know they had a Personal Management Merritt Badge.

JEREMY: It’s predominately like financial management. It also teaches you the basics of planning and organizing your schedule, but it focused more on the financial everything. That’s the one I didn’t get. Tried it three times, never got it. It was an Eagle required one too. It’s not like I was just one Merritt Badge short, it was the one Eagle required badge I didn’t have.

MATT: That makes me feel old. I don’t think they had that badge with I was in Scouts.

JEREMY: It’s all good. They’ve changed everything. Even when I was down at camp I was like, “You guys have to do that now? Wow! Alright, have fun. That’s cute, glad I don’t have to that, but enjoy that.”

MATT: You do quite a bit of dancing as well, don’t you?

JEREMY: Yeah, I tend to travel every weekend doing some go-go dancing appearance gig somewhere in the country.

MATT: Like San Antonio this past weekend. So, what are some of the places that you’ve been to?

JEREMY: Well, this weekend I was at the Bohnam Exchange, last weekend I was at Palm Springs Pride working with Manheim doing pool parties, dancing there. The weekend before that I was at Meteor down in Houston. I was at a club in Indianapolis before that. It was so much fun.

MATT: Wow, you really are traveling quite a bit.

JEREMY: Yeah, it’s fun. I really is.

MATT: You’ve  done a little straight porn in the past.

JEREMY: Yeah, I kind of still am. I do a little here and there. I have a few scenes coming out.

MATT: Is that with any particular company?

JEREMY: It has to do with a couple of content providers. For a while I was working for the Playboy people quite a bit for their different web sites. It tended to be different content providers. They would shoot it for the company as apposed to going into Playboy’s offices or studio and shooting it there. It would be some random director and a producer on set to oversee everything to make sure that we were doing what they wanted and what they were looking for.

MATT: When you’re not doing porn or traveling or dancing, what do you do? I know you’re into the outdoors.

JEREMY: Yeah, I do a lot of running, hiking, cycling, outside swimming, as much as I can. Also try to go camping and that stuff as well. And now that snowboarding season is coming I’m definitely going to have to hit the slopes. I’ll make a few trips to Denver and try to go ride somewhere out there.

MATT: I would love to learn to snowboard but I don’t think I would have the coordination for that.

JEREMY: It’s surprisingly easy. It’s was kind of a half-recommendation by my doctor. He said, “If you’re going to be an idiot and get on the slopes again at least put on a snowboard. You’re knees can’t handle skis any more.” Well, alright, I’m going to be an idiot so I will be doing that.

MATT: Then I may have to try that.

JEREMY: It’s a whole different balance training that you have to do, but I have a lot easier time and a lot better time than I ever did on skis.

MATT: How do you like working with Chi Chi?

JEREMY: I love it. I love it, I love her, the whole Channel 1 family. They’re a very tight woven family. We get to hang out quite a bit and we actually look out for one another, on set, off set, everywhere. You get a lot of that among the industry as a whole with people working with other companies, but Chi Chi is like our mom. She looks after us there. She’ll call us up and bullshit real quick just as much as she will train us right teach us exactly what we need to be doing. Chi Chi’s always yelling on set but she’s not yelling, she’s directing over the noise and everything, so you just hear her yelling, especially when she’s really excited, to do this or do that and the end result is phenomenal. You can’t beat it.

MATT: That’s true. She is a remarkable director. I had the opportunity to interview her a year ago and I just thought she was absolutely amazing.

JEREMY: So good. When they offered to sign me there was no question. I had to do it.

MATT: Well, I’m glad you’re part of the Channel 1 family. That’s an awesome achievement. There are thousands of models that would love that opportunity.

JEREMY: For sure.

Jeremy Bilding and Chi Chi LaRue

MATT: What’s next for you?

JEREMY: Currently there’s not really anything on my radar or on my docket, at least on the gay side. I know I’m going to be shooting a few things for Jake to try to keep www.cocksuremen.com going and keep promoting that. Jake and I have talked about launching a Jeremy Bilding website. I think we’re still in the works so that will be some time before that comes out. As for Chi Chi, they just finished Black Ball 7, which I’m not in. I don’t think they’re shooting anything until January, so we’ll see what comes up there.

MATT: A Jeremy Bilding website would be terrific.

JEREMY: I’ve just started a little blog page (jbilding.com) and was trying to elongate some of the stories that I have. I’ve got a lot of fans that have enjoyed my Facebook or Twitter commentary here and there, I figure, why not, I could be creative and write on it hear and there, whenever I can, which really hasn’t happened since I launched it. I want to focus on building that up. I know I am nominated for best porn star for Cybersocket, for their web awards show coming up  in February. I’m kind of starting to market some of that to see if I can’t actually win an award. It could be fun.

MATT: That would be terrific.

JEREMY: It was mind-blowing to just get nominated. I know I kind of marketed and asked people to nominate me for best personality and then they ended up throwing me into the category of best porn star, which took a couple of days to settle in. I was like, oh my God, I’m actually got nominated for my work, not that guy that jokes around at events and on Twitter and Facebook. This is surreal. I guess I’m doing something right. It’s pretty awesome, but it’s an honor just to be nominated.

MATT: Your work is fantastic, but I think a big part of that is the fact that you don’t come across as the typical porn model You’re obviously great looking, but you also have that boy-next-door charm.

JEREMY: Why thank you.

MATT: I think that attracts a lot of fans. A lot of people relate to that. There’s nothing pretentious about you. Is there anything that you would like to add to the interview?

JEREMY: I have no idea, I mean it’s just an honor to be able to do the interview. It’s good to put something out that I can share. Admitting that I have fans is always kind of weird to me but it’s incredibly humbling, so it’s great to give back to them. I love the events that I get to do like San Antonio and Houston and everywhere, where I get to meet the people who are watching what I’m doing. Getting to do the interview is awesome. I have no idea what I want to say other than thank you, and feel free to say Hi to me whenever you see me in public. I’m not scary, I’m just some guy. We’re real people too.

MATT: I don’t think that models get the respect they deserve.

JEREMY: Thank you.

MATT: One thing did just pop into my head. What do you see yourself doing like five years from now?

JEREMY: You know, if I’m still doing this in five years, that’s awesome and I would love it if I still had stuff coming out; but in five years if I actually get that degree and one of the camps picks me up I will have no problem walking away from the industry to pursue working with kids. Not to say that I wouldn’t still be involved hear and there to promote the safety issue and gay acceptance and to be open-minded to pursue what you feel is right and not what everyone around you is telling you need to be doing or what is right. But if the camp came back and said, “You cannot be shooting any more,” then fine. I’ll be happy working with the kids. I love my career right now, I love shooting porn and everything, but I know down the road working with kids is where I belong.

MATT: That’s a terrific goal and terrific that you have that charitable side. Good luck with finishing your degree.

JEREMY: Well, thank you very much.

MATT: Thanks for the call, Jeremy. Have a great night.

JEREMY: Thanks Matt, you too.

  1. May be he is humble, but he is really hard up anuses of many men. You can say he is an ass maniac

  2. he seems like a really sweet nice guy and hes way hot too! the only thing i dont understand are his thoughts about working with the boy scouts. he seems to think he’s going to get a choice from the scouts to continue to do porn or if they insisted, he would quit porn? the boy scouts would have fired him immediately if they knew he was gay – perhaps he was lucky with this local troop, but i cant imagine ANY scout organization anywhere allowing a gay porn star to work for them to think otherwise is just bizzare thinking. (this is the kind of stuff that would hit the national press in a second!) there are sooo many stories about porn stars losingtheir jobs because of porn..my God kurt wild was fired from a SUBWAY and he ws just making sandwiches! i wish him the best he really does seem like a swell guy and while i personally think a person could do both…the boy scouts certainly dont

  3. When he tells the story to straight interviewers about how he got into porn, he always mentions that he saw an ad looking for straight porn actors, and that’s how he got into the business. He always leaves that out when he’s trying to come across as bisexual or into guys.
